What is 7B?
The 7B comes from the World’s population (this year) just crossed over the 7 billion mark.  According to the US Census Bureau the world population surpassed the 7 billion mark the month of February of 2012.
For those of us who are trying to be Christ in the world today the obvious question MUST become – How are we going to reach those seven billion souls for Christ? Anytime we can get people excited about that it is a good thing. Many seem to have forgotten Christ’s purpose (to seek and save the lost) and our commission (to go, teach, make disciples – of every person!).  That’s where 7B comes in.
7B is also a big effort being made in “the great state” (if you don’t know which one that is you aren’t following this blog very closely) June 22-23. It will be held at the Adamsville Church of Christ just outside of Birmingham, Alabama.  Our friend Ronnie Hayes (hard to believe we go back 25 years now) has always had a passion for evangelism. He has put together a very neat two day event that I encourage all church leaders from the larger region to look into.
We’ll begin Friday evening at 7 with the one and only David Shannon. He’ll be followed by a great message from on the motivation for evangelism delivered by the talented Keith Mosier.  Saturday is a fun full day of practical approaches and strategies from guys who “are doing it.” There will be how to sessions and theory sessions. It will be a grand, grand two days.   Of course, some of you will want to stay around for the Sunday services at Adamsville where they will have Mel Futrell as a bonus for the church there.
I get excited anytime someone gets excited about evangelism!  Hope you’ll jump in and learn more.  Contact Ronnie for other details: ronaldehayes@hotmail.com
