Full time hearts - part time pay. And a note...
So be the first - what’s the news that will come out (or came out) Sunday? Who will be the scoopmaster this week? (The comment button isn’t working right now, so hit the email button below.
Today I’m posting several “part time” jobs and then a note from our friend Paula Harrington of Calvert City, Kentucky about her newest project.
So many guys help out smaller, newer churches and bless lives that way. I’ve been there, it is unique with its own blessing and challenges. Here are some “part time” openings:
Our friend Ricky Glass tells me about the congregation in Rockport, IN, not far from Holiday World in Santa Clause, IN. It’s the Spencer County congregation of about 30 members. One of the elders is preaching there for now. Contact Dan Wade at (812) 649-5211 if you want to know more.
The Bankston congregation in Alabama, just outside of Fayette is looking. They’ve been a good congregation for years and produced some neat folks. About 100 members. Contact Glenn Bowles (205) 998-3484. It could be a full time place.
The church in Tompkinsville, KY is also looking, contact Carl Pitcock at (270) 427-8223.
Three here in Tennessee are the Dover congregation in Stewart County, Culleoka (that I’ve mentioned before) and Westmoreland. I don’t have any contact info for either of them, you might check out Churches of Christ in the United States.
Monday we will post other ministry roles that you let me know about as well as a couple of new places that I haven’t posted yet. So, who’s first with the news for this week.
Our friend Paula Harrington wrote a helpful book on the preacher’s wife not too long ago. Her new effort is directed as women in other countries. Here is some of what she says about it: “The objective for my next book is to show that even though we all come from different cultures and have different lives, we share the same Father and the same future, a home in heaven. I am looking for non-American Christian women from around the world who would like to be interviewed for this book. Furthermore, I am looking for Christian women around the world who would like to share their personal stories of day to day life, how they were brought to Christ, what Sundays are like in their world, etc… I would also like to include photos that will be used in the book. If you know of a Christian woman who might like to participate, or if you would like to, please contact me at this email harringtonseven@yahoo.com and I will send you the questionnaire for the book.” Let Paula know of any questions, comments, or suggestions surrounding this book.
Have a super Sunday...
