Several!

There are several openings to report this week and a few “soon to be openings”. Let’s start with the latter.

There is a good job opening in east Tennessee. A program of work is already going there but seems to be suffering of late. Specifically they seem to have a hard time going “forward”. It’s a place of rich tradition so someone could do a good work there. It’s a very affluent program so whoever goes there will be compensated well. Oh, wait a minute....I’m a dummy...you are looking for the scoops on preaching job - not head coaching jobs. Sorry Phil (you too Andy C.). That scoop from the one and only Jeremy Butt.

Now that you’ve had a good laugh - or for some of you - I’ve gotten your blood pressure up, on to the real scoops.

The Water Valley congregation near Columbia, TN will be looking for a new preacher in November. Mike Williams will be going to work with the Thompsons Station church just outside of Spring Hill. In the last several years both Stan Butt and Doug Burleson worked there. If I’m correct, years ago, Marlin Connelly preached there.

The Portland church in Tennessee is looking for an Associate Minister. Portland is a church of about 400 members. The job will include some preaching, teaching, visiting and working in various programs of work. The Broken Arrow church in Oklahoma is looking for a preacher. It’s a larger church of about 600 members.
