As Promised

So I’ve been put in a pickle. Dan Chambers emailed me wanting his own scoop but he had already been scooped! Dan is moving to work with the Concord Road church in Brentwood, TN in June of this year. And the scoop “officially” goes to Paul Spurlin. Of course this means that Maryville will be looking. Here’s what Dan tells me: Maryville is in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains and 20 minutes from downtown Knoxville.  They average between 475-500 on Sunday mornings, have eight elders and a full-time youth minister.  If interested in the work at Maryville, feel free to send a resume and CD or DVD of a couple sermons to: Maryville Church of Christ (attention elders) 611 Sherwood Drive P.O. But that’s not all this week:

Lane Widick does get the scoop on himself.  He is moving to be the Associate Minister at West University in Houston, Tx. That opens the youth job at Guntersville Church of Christ in Alabama. His last Sunday there is April 5. Guntersville is a church of about 350.  The minister is Philip Bradley.  The youth group is about 45 members. Guntersville is a great small town.

Maple Hill just outside Lebanon, TN has narrowed their search and says they are not taking more inquiries.
