What’s happening out there?

Just a few scoops poking along right now but let me give you what I have:

My partner in podding, Adam Faughn (see iPreach in the bar above), reports that the Cross Roads congregation (I thought it was one word) outside Jasper, Alabama has hired Hayden Childs part-time.  Incidentally, I’ve known of Hayden all his life, as his faithful granddad was one of the leaders at a church I worked with in college.

Bruce Holt scoops that Edwin Jones (isn’t he an investment firm) is leaving the pulpit at Karnes in Knoxville to work with ETSP&M (East Tennessee School of Preaching and MIssions), so Karnes will be looking.

The illustrious (whatever that means) David Shannon sends in this scoop: The Mt Carmel congregation in Illinois just under 200 members is looking for a pulpit minister.  David says they are active and strong with members of all ages.  The web site address is mccoc.org.  There you can find a whole page of information about them and their pulpit search.

And one for the road. I’m told the Scenic Hills congregation in Pensacola is looking after Kelly Wheeler is leaving. Kelly had been there for several years.
