Thought I’d never get to it

As always you are responsible for checking out any scoops - like buying a used car - don’t buy unless you first kick the tires yourself. This blog is obviously not an endorsement of any of these places or (crazy I’d have to say it) of your ability to fit in with any of these congregations! So...without further disclaimer here are your scoops!!

The Northview church is Statesville, North Carolina is looking for a preacher. Dan Waller has been there for a good number of years and is moving back to his home place in Alabama to care for his dad (I know he would appreciate your prayers). To find out more about Northview go to their website: http://myflock2.com/cgi-bin/menu.pl?churchid=church1895

I’m told that Tony Holt is leaving the Kingwood Heights congregation in Murfreesboro, TN. The attendance at Kingwood last I heard was about 500-600 a Sunday. If you want to know more go to http://www.kingwoodheights.com/index.html

The Christian Chapel congregation in Lamar, in the (say it with me) great state of Alabama is looking for a preacher. CC has about 65-75 on Sundays and three elders. For details call Foy Curry (205) 695-7053. This scoop compliments of the one and only Steve Higginbotham.

Jerrie Barber lets us in on the news that the Hendersonville congregation has begun their search process. Jerrie says: “For a good preacher who wants a challenging and rewarding work, I would highly recommend the Hendersonville congregation...: Interested candidates please send resumes and credentials confidentially to hcocresumes@yahoo.com

I’m told the Hermitage church is looking for a Youth Minister. No details were given but if you’re reading this I imagine you can google them!

I got this email with no other details: “I was wondering if you know of a good preacher that is interesting to listen to,mision minded to go out try to save souls. We'd like some one with  some experience,& a good personality. We only have around 30-35 on Sunday mornings. We had apreacher retire 5 yrs. ago & have had trouble getting a preacher to help the church to grow.At one time we had around 60-80.People died moved or fall away.” I’m posting it as it came to me because I don’t even know who it came from. If you want to know more or sort it out for me you can :). The email address it came from is fishlip@peoplepc.com.

I also got this post from Joseph Lukeman in Liverpool, England: “We are currently accepting applications to fill a vacancy in our full-time, pulpit, Hispanic and youth minister position. Our growing, financially sound congregation located in South side,UK, seeks a Spirit-filled, Bible-based individual who is able to work as part of our leadership team which includes two elders and two deacons.  Our congregation desires a minister to teach, preach and organize community activities with an emphasis in developing a college ministry.” (I’m not sure if this is all in one man or if they are hiring three guys or just one super man!)
“The candidate should be prepared to unify, lead, and challenge our congregation as we work to grow in number and in Christian fervor.  Our city has a great deal of untapped potential for the Lord's Kingdom and we need a hard-working, inspiring individual to direct us in this endeavor.  The new minister would be paid well + free housing., amongst other benefits/incentives. We are Searching for conservative Bible based preacher who desires to grow church. References will be contacted.
