no one like them
I’m working on some stuff on Philippians 2 and Epaphroditus so in considering context I read again the apostle’s assessment of Timothy in verse 20 “...I have no one else like him...” I love that verse. I
t’s one of those things I hope people think of me - in a good way that is - I don’t know anyone else quite like him. But more than that I can’t tell you the number of times I have that feeling about brothers and sisters of ours. There are so many people I’ve been blessed to know that when leaving their presence I think “I have no one else like them.”
I had that feeling again today. We did our big “Spring Fling” (the picture of some of the kids is above) and for the third year the Easer Bunny and Easter Duck (yes) made an appearance. They are two dear, dear people and precious friends, Ray and Greta Fox. Ray loves dressing up and he drags Gretta along (or she acts like he has, I think she loves it too). At Christmas they’re the special couple who go as Mr. and Mrs. Claus to Children’s Hospital with gifts and candy - just out of the goodness of their hearts. At Easter they are the bunny and duck! I do love them.
“I have no one like them...” or like YOU either! I thought that of all the servants who put together our Spring Fling and think it regularly of most every one of you! Thank you for making life more special by what you do for Him and His Cause.
