What's Your Deal?

What is it with you? A private sin? A personal inconsistency? A menacing fear? A frustrating foe?   A haunting memory? A sneaking insecurity? A disabling lack of confidence? A menacing sickness? A strangling burden of debt? A leader who causes you to question your ability? A jerk who seems to derail your dreams? A guilt over past failures? A weariness that saps your motivation?

May I remind you of what you already know?

His goodness is better than any evil that would be your undoing.  His grace is stronger than your guilt. His power is limitless. His strength to aid you in overcoming is immeasurable.  His righteousness can cover so much more than you protagonist can throw at you.  His presence can renew your confidence.

So go forth this week full of Him and not of your adversary who is a troll and a prowler, who in God’s Light is nothing more than a slithered - “whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming” (2 Thessalonians 2:8).

And though this world, with devils filled,

Should threaten to undo us,

We will not fear, for God hath willed

His truth to triumph through us:

The Prince of Darkness grim,

We tremble not for him;

His rage we can endure,

For lo, his doom is sure,

One little word shall fell him.

    (Martin Luther, 1529)

“…to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us…” (Ephesians 3:20).

Now go out and have a grand week living with, in and by His strength!
