REJOICE!

REJOICE!

There will always be challenges in the life and work of preachers. As long as we work with people, there will be those who will be unkind, uncaring, and even ugly. There will be reasons to be discouraged, and we may even go through seasons of ministry that seem so overwhelming that we want out.

Every man of God, including the great preachers in Scripture have endured difficult days and seasons. All of this is a part of who we are and due to the nature of our work. However, we need to work overtime not to remain in this state. Please allow me to share just a few reasons that can cause every preacher to rejoice.

We are blessed to share the greatest news the world has ever known.

We have been promised that our work will not go unnoticed, unrewarded, and that it will fulfill its intended purpose.

We are allowed time every day to dive deep into God’s Precious Word.

We are charged with praying for and with people during some of their most difficult days.

The Good News we proclaim is life-changing and life-giving.

We get to impact the lives of children.

We help strengthen marriages.

We comfort those who are hurting.

We encourage Christians who are nearing the end of their days on earth.

We get to study the Word with people who don’t know Jesus.

At times, we are privileged to immerse people into our Savior.

We fulfill God’s command to preach the Truth in love.

God’s Holy Word commands us to rejoice in all things, no matter what!

“Rejoice in the Lord always; and again, I say rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4)
