Control

Have you ever noticed that much of what plagues us in our lives and trouble our soul is the stuff we can’t fix. We cannot control the weather.  We have no control over the other drivers on the road (That’s one of the toughest ones for me)! We cannot control what others do to us or say about us. We cannot control decisions and choices made by leaders that bring us pain.

We can only control ourselves. We can control our reactions. We can control how we respond to others. We can control how we treat others. We can control what we say about others as well as what we say too others. We can control whether or not we will be kind to others.

We can make decisions that we will not allow ourselves to be defeated by the things we cannot control. We can choose to turn those situations over to the Lord. We can decide to live to the best of our ability for His Glory rather than allowing others to dictate how we live!

If we desire to control those things that we cannot control, it can drive us crazy. If we focus on our work of preaching the Gospel and ministering to our people, we will not become discouraged to the point of feeling the need to quit.

Dear Father, Help us not to spend too much time on what we can’t control. May we focus our hearts and minds on the choices and decisions we make each day. Dear God, help us focus on the work You have given us to do, Please help us to react to others and treat others in a way that brings glory to You. In Jesus Wonderful Name, we Pray, Amen.
