Don't Quit. Again?

“You guys have told me for 399 weeks now not to quit. But with all that has happened in the world, in my life, in ministry, HOW?”

We’ve never said it was easy. In fact, we’ve said just to opposite, that it is difficult and that when we signed up for ministry there will be challenges and difficulties. So, how do you stay in this for the long run? There are many, many, many ways: but for this week, take a moment, read the inspired instructions below and just try to design your ministry around them.

“…keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life” Jude 21.

“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:58).

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it” (Proverbs 4:23).

“stay away from worthless stories that are typical of old women. Rather, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness” (1 Timothy 4:7).

“give your attention to the public reading, to exhortation, and teaching” (1 Timothy 4:13).

“Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching” (1 Timothy 4:16).

“doing nothing from partiality” (1 Timothy 5:21).

“Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness” (1 Timothy 6:11).

“But avoid irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness” (2 Timothy 2:16).

“Preach the Word…fulfill your ministry” (2 Timothy 4:2, 5).

This list is obviously not all, but it’s certainly not a bad start to be encouraged and to see direction.
