Thank you for preaching Sunday even when you didn’t feel physically well. Thank you for preaching when you didn’t feel mentally prepared. Thank you for preaching when you didn’t feel spiritually strong. Thank you for preaching when your marriage didn’t seem as healthy as you would like for it to be.

Thank you for preaching even though you have a gnawing fear that you are about to lose your job. Thank you for preaching even though you received a hateful email from someone who didn’t like what you said last Sunday.

Thank you for preaching even though you have friends or family members whose lives have been devastated by the fires in California. Thank you for preaching even though your child is sick or has been hurt. Thank you for preaching even though you just learned that your wife had contracted cancer. 

Thank you for preaching in spite of the fact that you feel as though there isn’t really one in your church family who is very supportive of you. Thank you for preaching in spite of the fact you feel like people take you for granted or don’t take you seriously. Thank you for preaching in spite of the fact that you don’t feel worthy.

Thank you for not growing weary in well doing. Thank you for going the second mile. Thank you for serving God faithfully, even if you feel like the ground under your feet is unstable. Thank you for not quitting. Thank you for hanging in there. Thank you for your example of faithfulness. Thank you for your commitment and loyalty to our Lord and His Church. Thank you for loving those who may not love you. Thank you for being you. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank You!
