Not much scooping
Hey friends. There’s not a whole lot of scooping going on this week. I’ll give you what I got and then you can comment below. I’d ask that you take 2 minutes and go to the blog section of my site and read “It’s at your fingertips” and comment there too. It doesn’t cost anything to comment and you don’t have to register or anything like that. Thanks for being a part of this community.
If you’re new here, go back and read the past posts there are a lot of good places open out there. On to today’s small scoop:
John McMath gets a silver scoop for his news that the Spring Valley church outside of Tuscumbia is looking. He held a meeting there last year, so surely they’d be ready for some good preaching now :). He mentions that they have very good singing too.
Double scoop to Dustin Welch who reported even before it had been announced that the Eastside congregation in Columbia would be looking, he looses style points for calling it Eastview. Jeff Wilson gets a confirmation scoop for making it official. But I think he cheated a little, I mean both his dad and granddad are elders there!
I’m told there is a campus ministry job in Boone, North Carolina, with Appalachian State University. http://www.boonechurchofchrist.org/cymsearch.htm
Doug Brackbill gets a big ole Alabama scoop with the news that Bankston hired Keith Dixon.
This one’s a little different: The Gladeville church in Wilson County is looking for a song leader. They tell me he must know songs from Praise for the Lord book and some of the “camp fire songs” and recent composition songs. Powerpoint knowledge may be OK, but needs traditional knowledge like Old Rugged Cross, etc. This is a paid position. Contact: Bill Speight. minister 615-754-8671.
OK. That’s what I know, what’s up in your neck of the woods?
