“ONE YEAR!”
One year ago today we posted our first article on “Thoughts from the Mound.” We begin this blog with the following words:
“Some of my most productive work is done sitting right here in Flower Mound. So, I have decided to jump into the blogosphere. Some would say there is no need for another blogger, we already have too many. You will probably read very few new insights in this blog. This will be no Sermon on the Mount. It will not be earth shattering. This is just an effort to encourage you in your walk with the Lord, “Thoughts from the Mound” to help along your journey to Heaven.
No promises here on how often posts will be made, just from time to time. On occasion this blog will be used to disseminate information to members of the Lewisville church. Sometimes notes to my family and perhaps a few random thoughts for everyone. May God bless you in everything you do for Him and may you always remain faithful to Him as you live your life.”
Since that first post one year ago today there have been seventy-nine posts. It has been a joy to write each article. It is my sincere prayer that this blog is a source of encouragement to those who read it. The biggest challenge each week is the time it takes to write and post the articles.
I am humbled and thankful for the kind comments by those who read “Thoughts from the Mound.” You have been a great source of encouragement. We will continue to do our best to post articles that will encourage and build up. Again, it is my sincere prayer that each post will in someway encourage someone to love the Lord more.
Some have asked about the Preacher’s Notes that we have posted from time to time. We have several more that we are working on and hopefully they will be ready soon.
Quite frequently questions are asked about Biblical and spiritual matters. I am happy to try to answer any question that anyone wants to ask. No promise can be made about how quickly the answers will be given but I will get to every question.
Thank you again for reading and thank you for your kind words of encouragement. May God’s blessings be upon you and your loved ones in everything you do.
Dear Father, thank You for Your marvelous love for us. Thank You for sending Jesus to live and die for us. Help us dear God, to live everyday for Him. Help us to grow in our faith and to be willing to tell others about Jesus.
