If you know of scoops not posted on here just let me know. Or if you see something that needs more info or updating send me that too.  This is a free service for preachers and churches - two of my favorite things.  It is not a site to judge whether or not you will be a good fit at a place or even if it is a place you should consider - that is your job - I just report the news. Sort of a classified section for those in ministry. So, let's get scooping:

I'll give this scoop to Dan Chambers.  The Una congregation in Nashville on Murfreesboro Rd., where Todd Elliott has been the preacher most recently is looking for a new minister.  Todd is going to start preaching at Berea Church of Christ. Before Todd, Steve Blackman (currently at Bellevue Church of Christ) preached there. It's  an active congregation with about 300-350 on Sunday mornings. For more info go to: http://www.unachurchofchrist.com/default.asp

Our friend, Jeremiah Tatum has accepted the work at the Willow in Cookeville, TN (Willow is alsoknown as Willow Avenue). They are a church of roughly 500. Most recently Clarence DeLoach has been their preacher.

Steve Reeves scooped himself last week! Here in his own words is the info he sent the scoop blog: "After ten years with the Goodman Oaks church in Southaven, Mississippi (suburb of Memphis), Steve Reeves is stepping down as pulpit minister. Steve and his wife have both experienced some health problems in the past couple of years and Steve's vision has been left impaired. They have decided to 'downsize' and have accepted the pulpit work of the church in Dardanelle, Arkansas, where Steve served as youth minister thirty-two years ago. He will begin his responsibilities there around the first of March. Goodman Oaks is the largestcongregation among churches of Christ in the state of Mississippi, with an average attendance of 650-700. There are eight elders, three other full time ministers (associate, college and youth) and three other full time staff members. The congregation is extensively involved in mission work in Malawi and Zambia as well as supporting work in the South Pacific. Steve has been with the church for ten years and the previous minister, Ken Joines, was there for twenty-eight years and is still a member there.  Anyone interested in the position should contact Jimmy Eddlemon, one of the elders, at (902)568-1102." I'm also told the 6th Avenue congregation in Jasper, AL has an opening in their youth work but am unsure if they are going to fill it right now. To learn more and find contact info go to: http://www.sixthavenuechurch.org/

The Tuskawilla Church of Christ, located in Oviedo, FL, a suburb of Orlando, FL, is seeking a full-time minister for a ground floor opportunity to grow a congregation. They describe themselves as "a loving, friendly, church family of about 50 members" They have a nice church building with classrooms and office space, plenty of land for expansion, beautiful sunny warm weather, and a church family with a desire to grow and work for the Lord. We need a minister that is willing to roll up his sleeves and help us to grow this congregation. They offer a partial salary, so outside support will be required. Though they desire to eventually have the man be full time with the church there. Send resumes to tuskawillacofc@gmail.com or contact Jimmy Wilson at 407-359-2446 if you have questions or need more information.

So you've been scooped (that wasn't too painful now was it?  Let me know of additions and corrections.
