The Lake Hills church in Chattanooga, TN is looking. Contact Richard Twitchell 423 894-3138. Lake Hills is a congregation of about 60 people.
The Waynesboro, MS congregation in southeastern Mississippi, is looking for a pulpit minister. They have about 50-55 on Sunday morning and a weekly budget of $1,700. The population of Waynesboro is approximately 6,500. They do not have elders or deacons. They shared with the Blog that they are offering a salary base of $40,000 which is negotiable depending on qualification/experience. They do have a bedroom house in a nice location. They want to grow. In their own words: "The responsibilities of the minister should be considered traditional -- preaching and teaching the whole truth, greeting and following up on newcomers, working to restore the unfaithful and visiting the sick and shut-ins." Rob Frazier scoops himself: After the first of the year he is moving to be the youth and family minister in Hendersonville, N.C. That means the church in Moline, IL where he has been for the last 8 years is looking for a youth and worship minister. Moline is the world headquarters for John Deere! Rob says the congregation is very loving, stable, active and growing with around 170 members. The church has 3 elders. The position will be available starting in January 2011. The position comes with a 4 bedroom church owned home in a nice neighborhood and other benefits. They are looking for someone with worship leading abilities in addition to family ministry and occasional preaching. The elders are in the process of forming a search committee, but would be willing to hear from any interested candidates (previous ministry experience and a desire to live and work in the Midwest long term preferred). The church number is 309-797-5433 and the contact elder is G.B. Smith at 309-912-3023. Here's the link to the info: http://www.molinechurchofchrist.org/youth/
