WHAT IF every Christian worked to become Jesus as much as we talk about Jesus…
WHAT IF every Christian looked at every person as having a soul that is created in the image of God...
WHAT IF every family became addicted to ministry…
WHAT IF in families we served one another rather than always wanting everyone else to serve us…
WHAT IF husbands loved their wives sacrificially like Christ loved the church…
WHAT IF husbands served as the spiritual leader in their homes…
WHAT IF wives lived in submission to the servant leadership of their husbands…
WHAT IF wives allowed their real beauty to be the hidden person of the heart…
WHAT IF parents trained their children in the admonition of the Lord…
WHAT IF parents taught their children the Word of God rather than expecting the church to do it all…
WHAT IF parents placed more importance on spiritual things than they did on physical things…
WHAT IF parents taught their children to love everyone more and taught them to develop a spirit of service…
WHAT IF children obeyed their parents in the Lord…
WHAT IF children honored their parents as they should…
WHAT IF churches showed the love of Jesus to everyone who came through the door…
WHAT IF churches were more active in telling the Good News of Jesus…
WHAT IF churches were more active in their communities showing the light of Jesus…
WHAT IF elders acted more like shepherds and less like business leaders….
WHAT IF elders spent more time in the lives of the people they serve than they did in meetings…
WHAT IF elders made sure the truth and only the truth is always taught from the pulpit as well as in the classroom…
WHAT IF elders treated preachers more like a part of the team and less like an errand boy…
WHAT IF Christians spent more time in prayer for their leaders and less time complaining to them...
WHAT IF deacons spent time serving the Lord in the place they have been assigned…
WHAT IF deacons served the church like Jesus served others…
WHAT IF preachers spoke the whole counsel of God…
WHAT IF preachers looked at their work more as a ministry and less as a job….
WHAT IF preachers took as much time for their wives and children as they do for other families…
WHAT IF preachers lived what they taught…
WHAT IF the church lived as the Bride of Christ, the light of the world, an oasis in a desert of sin, a haven for the hurting, a place of refuge for the disenfranchised, a place of peace for those whose lives and hearts are at war….
WHAT IF…
Dear Father, help us to be what You want us to be. Help us God to show Christ to our world and to one another. Help us love one another just as you have loved us. In the Name of our Wonderful Savior we pray, amen.
