The West Broward church of Christ has an immediate opening for a family minister. We are located in Plantation, Florida, a suburb of Ft. Lauderdale. Our average Sunday morning attendance is 350. We are actively involved in mission work, a young but growing Spanish language ministry, and the Lads to Leaders/Leaderettes program among others. We’re looking for a man to join our full-time ministry team that will consist of our pulpit minister, a family minister and Spanish minister in this wonderfully diverse congregation under the leadership of 4 elders who are dedicated to maintaining an allegiance to the principles of the New Testament church.
We’re looking for a dynamic man who is solidly grounded in Biblical truth. Our new family minister should be knowledgeable about contemporary issues and challenges faced by our young people while being able to use New Testament principles to help guide our young people through the often- tumultuous journey through adolescence. He should have a passion for evangelizing young people and leading our young people to be evangelistic. He should be able to deliver lessons and activities that ground our youth in Scripture and help them to assume their current and future roles in the Lord’s church. He should be able to structure a program that involves a broad spectrum of parents and other adults. His personal walk with God should be demonstrably strong. His commitment to the inerrancy of the Scriptures should be unwavering. His dedication to following the leadership of the elders as described in the New Testament should be exemplary.
