A little bling with the scoops...
The sad thing about "scooping" is that we've had friends who were fired, in our opinion unjustly so, but we still needed to post the opening. As we've told some of them. The church will hire a new preacher, someone will stand in that pulpit and as a man of God you have to want the best for His church and hope that the "new guy" can help them where you could not. Pulpits will be filled: When our dad died, we still needed to post the opening. Well, again we have the sad job of posting an opening. Our dear friend Mike Nix who has been the preacher at the great Beltline church in Decatur, AL died out of season at age 55 - of course that means that Beltline will, in time, be looking for a new preacher. Their website is: http://beltlinechurchofchrist.faithsite.com/
