Pre-Lectureship-scoopaige...

So, a week from today thousands of preachers will "invade" the little hamlet of Henderson, TN.  Jobs will open, "deals" will be struck, people will reveal they are "looking" - so pre-lectureships here's what we know that we can tell: Robert Notgrass scoops himself with the news that he is working  with the Rockliff congregation in McMinnville, TN.

David Lipe will be stepping out of the pulpit at Sycamore in Cookeville. He and "Sister Lipe" will continue to worship there.  David will be gong to ETSoP&M to teach and direct.  Of course that means the Sycamore will be looking: http://www.sycamorecoc.com/.  This also might mean that Gary Hampton could be "lured" back to a local pulpit.  You might contact him and see -  gchampton@hotmail.

Our dear friend Van Vansandt is going to work with the Adamsville church in Adamsville, TN. I'm happy for them (and him).

The congregation in Fayetteville, GA is looking for a new preacher. You can learn more about the work there at: http://www.fcoc.com/.

Kerry Williams who has been preaching at Sherrod Ave in Florence, AL is moving to preach in Jonesboro, AR. Here's the link: http://sherrodfamily.org/templates/_sherrodave/default.asp?id=36309. Last I heard Sherrod Ave has about 350 in attendance each week. (Update: I was just told that they have hired Kenny Barfield, who had been an elder there, to be their new preacher).

The Highland Park congregation in the Shoals has hired Ben Hayes to work as their new preacher.  We wish them and him the very best.

The Jackson Heights church in Florence, AL is looking for a youth minister. Their current one, Chris Moran, is going to Mars Hill in the same city to work with them.

More news coming next week...you can about bank on it. Let me know what we missed.
