"ONE YEAR & COUNTING"

It’s hard to believe it’s been one year ago today that we began The Jenkins Institute and launched TheJenkinsInstitute.com. We began this effort to honor our dad’s memory and to advance the Work he loved so much.  We also share a common passion to encourage ministers and strengthen the church. Since that time much has happened: Noon, April 4, 2011 - Launched TheJenkinsInstitute.com: Initially, Thoughts from the Mound, The Tie That Binds and The Scoop Blog all combined under one umbrella.  We had over 7,000 page views in first 12 hours.

August 1 - Hope & Expectation the online magazine (e-zine) submits it's first offering. Issues in first 9 months have included: Evangelism, Balanced Christian Living, Growing the Church, Preaching. The issue to be released this week is titled: Ministries that Will Help Build and Strengthen the Church.

February 6, 2012 - Announced first webinar entitled: “Ministry Now” limited the sign-up to 50 participants. Filled up in first two weeks. Since, we have offered “Making Guests Feel At Home” and the upcoming “8 Secrets that Will Energize Your Preaching” (Occuring live on May 8).

February 29 - Was our best hour so far: nearly 2,000 page views in one hour (11-12am).

March 6 - Announced “God Has Spoken Bible Study” and first book from The Jenkins Institute: “Increase! …the disciples were increasing in number..." Acts 6:1

April 3 - Announced the beginning of a new blog “Preacher Notes” that will answer questions from preachers, include posts on ministry, and have a special audio section of preacher interviews.  This new blog will launch soon.

In the year since our launch there have been roughly 40,000 unique visitors to our site and nearly 400,000 page views.  It has been an amazing year.  It has been humbling.  Most of all we have enjoyed honoring our dad’s memory and work and the opportunity to work together.

We are excited about the future and the goals we have for The Jenkins Institute. We look forward to the journey ahead with you.

Dear Father, we give You thanks for every opportunity that we have to glorify Your Name and to encourage others. Help us Lord, to be people who let our lights shine in this dark world. Father, please help us to always be about Your work. In the Name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
