I've got 8 bits of information for you tonight BUT I have one more that someone told me about and it escaped my mind before I transferred it to Evernote. So if you don't see you news here - please remind me. Let's start with a little good news from Gary Dodd and the Central congregation in Nashville. Gary has been "part time" with the Central church for over 4 years. This congregation which began with such influence is showing signs of flourishing again - they have a good man who will help them even more with the news that he has begun working with them full-time.
The McDermont Road congregation in Texas is looking for a new youth minister. The previous one was there for 11 years and will begin working with the Junior High group. They cite leadership/vision skills as being important. They would also like for him to be a worship leader. The Mount Olive church located about 6 miles outside of Vernon, Alabama is looking for a preach. Their attendance runs approximately 40-50 people on Sunday. They have a three bedroom, two bathroom home for the preacher. It was built in the early 1970’s and is in very good condition and is located adjacent to the church building. The Pleasant Grove Church of Christ in Todd County, Kentucky is looking for a full-time preacher. They are looking a strong preacher who is active in the commuinty and has good social skills. The Maud Church in Texas is searching for a full time pulpit minister. They want a preacher who will work with them in outreach programs to the community, and work with all age groups. Compensation will depend on education and experience, but will include relocation allowance, a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, and 2 car garage minister’s home, with a utility allowance. Maud is a rural town with a population of approximately 1,000 people, located in the piney woods of northeast Texas and is 20 miles west of Texarkana, TX/AR, which has a population of approximately 65,000. The church is 59-years-old with an average Sunday attendance of 100-110. The church currently sponsors six missions and is debt free.
