NV/UT: Tony Stafford has accepted the work at the Pahrump Church of Christ in Nevada. This leaves open the pulpit position at the Mid Valley congregation in Sandy Utah. They have about 40 members and worship in an Odd Fellows hall but have some savings toward the purchase of a building or property. OPEN: Truth for Today World Mission School has a full time position for an India Production Manager. This individual will oversee and coordinate efforts between their Searcy office and their India translation centers within the country. He will speak to one to two congregations each Sunday about the work of TFTWMS. He needs to have a vital interest in India, travel experience overseas, and have project management experience. TN: The Smyrna congregation in McMminnville. Jonathan Stubblefield has preached there for the past 7 years. They average around 140 on Sunday mornings. They do not have elders. TN: The Woodson Chapel congregation in Brentwood has filled the College/Young Adult Minister job we posted. They have hired Greg Adams. He joins a ministry team of Wes Walker, Mike McPhearson and Andrew Jenkins.
AL/TN: Heritage Christian University student Will Martin will become the new preacher at the Mimosa congregation outside of Fayetteville on January 1. By the way, if you've never been to Mimosa you need to go by sometime, it's a unique and beautiful little community and building.
FL/KY: Brian Staron (yep that one :)) is moving to Kentucky to become the Family Minister at with Richmond Church of Christ. He'll be working with Mike Johnson.
TN: The Clarksville Highway congregation is looking for a youth minister. They have a house as a part of the package. Attendance averages around 175. Interested send info tojeff@clarksvillehwychurch.com.
MS/GA: Andrew Shelton scoops himself. He is moving to work with the Oak Hill church in Rome, GA as their Youth and Family Minister. He is leaving the Strickland church of Christ in Glen, MS where he worked with the legendary Brad Dillingham as the Associate Minister.
MI/TN: John Henson also scoops himself. Effective February 1 he will leave his work with the Grand Blanc Church of Christ and will be returning to Tennessee.
TX/NE: Caleb Sampson is returning to his home congregation in Broken Bow, Nebraska. What a great honor and fit! He is leaving the work here at Northside in Bonham, TX on excellent terms. They have 3 elders. The church has been growing and is in great shape financially. The pulpit will open at the first of the year. NC: Church in Gastonia, NC IS looking for a preacher.
TN: The New Zion Church of Christ in Christiana, TN is a small country congregation near the Rutherford/Bedford County line. They are looking to find a good man to preach on Sundays. TN: The Winchester Church of Christ in Winchester, TN has hired Joseph Horton to be their new preacher. This means they are looking for a youth minister. It is a city of about 12,000 and the congregation has about 350 to 400 active members. They have a large student ministry. The youth minister will primarily focus his work on our middle school and high school students along with their families. He will work closely with Joseph, under the leadership of 8 elders and 11 deacons. Additionally, a Christian school, the Winchester Christian Academy, is attached to the facility. The school is open to preschoolers through 5th grade students, and current enrollment is at around 150. They prefer a young man between 20 and 30 who is married or engaged to be married, but all candidates will be considered. All interested candidates should have an undergraduate Bible degree. A degree with an emphasis in youth ministry along with some real-life ministry experience would be beneficial. Selected candidates will be called for an interview and should be prepared to answer various questions about doctrinal matters and vision and ideas for ministry. References from teachers, ministers, and elders whom you know well would be very helpful. Salary will be determined after interview and qualifications are considered and can range from $35,000-45,000. The youth minister would be given assistance to relocate here. MID-TENNESSEE: We DO NOT publish preachers looking for jobs but we OFTEN get requests for contacts who are professional/trained Christian counselors. Ryan Daniel, who has been a guest on iPreach several times is a Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Service Provider. He has a Master's in Counseling and 7 years of experience working as an Associate Minister at Concord Road in Franklin where he is one of the Deacons over the education program. He has had his own private practice for 4 years and an office located in the Berry Hill area near the 100 Oaks Mall.
