A Brief Q&A with John the Beloved
Dear Brother John:
You knew Jesus, you are prime example #1 of someone who went from a rough and tough he-man type to a strong gentleman under the power of the influence of the Lord and the Spirit. If anyone you, who went from a son of thunder to the one who wrote “my little children, let us love one another.” It’s a struggle sometimes to know how to co-exist with those around us. To be gentle and to have conversations rather than confrontations. I mean we are in a pluralistic society (of course, I suppose it’s nothing compared to how it was in your day when the Emperor claimed to be a god) and Jesus taught us to be accepting and not judgmental. So here’s the question I’ve met this man who does not believe Jesus is the Son of God. He claims to believe in God but denies Jesus as His Son - in the spirit of understanding should I invite him to preach for me and to the church?
Thanks for taking the time to answer, take your time and answer as long as you need. I know you are busy but being inspired I will accept you answer - I mean, who wouldn’t?
With Love (how else would I sign off on a letter to the apostle of love?),
dale
My little child:
Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. 23 No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also. (1 John 2:22-23).
Love,
John
