A Sacred Trust

Dear Father,

We are humbled by the reality that You have committed a sacred trust to those of us who are blessed to be preachers. We pray that You will be with all of us who will be preaching on Sunday that we will seriously consider the importance of this sacred trust. Help us, Dear God, even today as we think about what we will say tomorrow, to remember that we are Your men who are attempting to partner with You in the greatest venture that has ever been planned.

Father, bless Your men with peace in their hearts, as well as clarity of mind & purpose. May we rest with the assurance that You are present with us and that our task is show Christ to those who hear us. Give us wisdom to know what needs to be said and grace to know how to say it. Help us to love those who gather to worship You but help us to love You supremely.
