The Important

Father:

Thank You for these Your Servants who give so much of themselves for others. As they scurry about even on a Saturday striving to make sure that all is in place for a day of worshipping You with Your Family, as they tie up loose ends that got pushed further out this week, as they proceed over funeral services, weddings, make visits, counsel, even on a Saturday, I thank You for their hearts. Father, may they strive to balance the urgent with the important. Aid them in disconnecting. Help them to be spouses, parents, grandparents, and friends. Remind them of the brevity of this life and the importance of influencing those who are closest to them and not to neglect them. Thank You for their love, their hearts, their desire to serve, and keep them focused on those things that might, but must not, be pushed aside. And, may they not have guilt as the urgent cries so loudly and they find time for the important.
