The Word we Proclaim

Holy Father, Our prayer today is that we will never forget what an awesome privilege it is to preach Your Word. We pray that we will always remember to preach it in truth and love. Help those of us who preach on Sunday to consider why we should be thankful for this privilege. We believe that Your Word is amazing and that it is alive. Your Word is beautiful and it blesses. It is cleansing and it calms the troubled heart. We believe that the Word we preach is delightful and that it alone will drive people to You. Your Word is enlightening and it is effective. We know that Your Word is faithful and it provides freedom. The Word we are blessed to proclaim is glorious and it gives life. Dear God, help all of us to consider that the power is not our ability but that it is this life-giving Word that we preach. In the Mighty Name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
