Focus

Dear Loving Father,

Our prayer this morning for the men who will stand and proclaim Your life-giving Word on Sunday is that they might remained focused. We preach in a time of crises, chaos, and confusion. Many will be present who feel that their lives and our world are in a mess.

It’s so easy for us to hear the noise around us, and lose our focus. May our focus be on You and Your Word. May our focus be on the Lamb of God who takes away our sins. May our focus be on the lost, the hurting, and the lonely who long for hope. Please, Dear God, be with Your preachers on Your day, that they would focus their thoughts as well as the thoughts of those who hear them on Your matchless grace, love, and mercy. In the Name of our Savior we pray, Amen.
