The New Year

The New Year

Dear Father in Heaven,

We are thankful for the beginning of a New Year. It serves for us as a reminder that You are the God who makes new every morning, the God of second (third, fourth, etc.) chances, and the God who allows us to live in the land of beginning again. We pray today for Your preachers who will encourage, edify, and enlist Your people around the world to rededicate themselves to You. Dear God, please give to all of us who will proclaim Your Word an extra measure of wisdom that we might speak the Truth in love. As these men of Yours consider their sermons, please bless both them and those who will hear. May everything we do and everything we say give glory, honor, and praise to Your Name.
