A Prayer for Grace

Dear Father in Heaven,

The Goodness You shower upon us each day is so much more than we could ever deserve. We thank You and we praise You for Your loving-kindness toward us. Father, we pray that those of us who preach each week will never forget how gracious You are to us.

We pray that You will forgive us for the times we have not been as grateful as we should be. May we always adore and honor You because of your character and Your holiness. We ask, Dear God, that you would grant an extra measure of grace and mercy to the men who will be speaking from Your Holy Word on Sunday. Help us to be mature enough to recognize that when something good is a part of our life, that it is all because You allow us. Father, please defeat us when we are proud or arrogant. Please fill our hearts with humility and grace. In the Name of the One who gave Himself for us, we pray, Amen!
