A Prayer for Families In Ministry

Father:

Tonight we pray for the families of these Your servants. Many of them struggle with the added weight of ministry pressures. They have feelings that others are constantly watching their every move, feelings that they live in a glass house, feelings like their spouse or parent has such demands on their schedule that they have no time for them, feelings that they are never enough resources to do the things that others do. Father, bless ministry couples who struggle in their own relationships, help them to be able to be transparent and to communicate well. Help them to realize that every marriage, even godly ones have challenges and must continual devote time, prayer, and attention to having an enduring one. Help them to know that You love them through these struggles. And, may they have peace and be at peace. Bless Your servant who tomorrow will stand before Your people in the midst of their own family struggles, may he be his best for You. Help these families to see the bright sides of being a family serving in Your Service. Help them to love and be loved. God, please bless them.

And, as we pray for these ministry families we pray too for those ministers who serve without a nuclear family. Those who have never married and serve well. Those who have buried their wife and marshal onward. Those who never have had children or who have lost their children to death or to faithlessness. May each of these hearts find comfort and peace, usefulness and Family as well.
