To Be Yours

Father:

To be Your ambassador is an honor of dignity, may we serve you in this foreign land well. To be Your slave is a privilege, may we work in a way that honors You as our caring Master. To be a vessel in Your Great House is to be useful, may our usefulness be to honor. To be Your Herald is to sound Your message loudly, may we proclaim it in a strong and beautiful manner. To be Your soldier is to serve in the best of ranks, may we fulfill our commission with valor. To be Your watchman is to guard Your people, may we alarm appropriately without becoming alarmist. To be Your builders is a joy as we watch that “building” grow, may You always be our foundation. To be Your light is to provide clear sight to You, may our light shine brightly. You have blessed us with every good thing, and put us in roles beyond mankind. May we be faithful stewards of all You have entrusted to us.
