So often we forget to thank pray for the men who serve as shepherds in Your Church. We praise You and give You thanks that in Your infinite Wisdom, You made the decision to have men guide and guard Your flock. We thank You for the many sacrifices these men make to counsel, encourage, support, strengthen, visit, nourish, shepherd, cry with, and pray with the people You have placed in their care.
Father, we know that that their families also make sacrifices of their time as well as their lives so that your people can be blessed. Dear God, please help our shepherds to know that all that they do does not go unnoticed. As well, help them to remember that they will be rewarded in eternity for all they do.
