Post Event Scoops
14 scoops from 11 states today!
Doing Scoops is so much fun. It really is. There are all sorts of things I learn and it has provided the opportunity to be a part of minister’s lives in bad times and good. Every now and then I feel the need to point out a few things that you need to remember.
1. I know the place you left was horrible and you think that you wouldn’t send your worst enemy there. BUT is that fair? First of all, at some point YOU accepted that job. Second they will hire a “next” preacher. And if you love the Lord’s Family and ANY of the people “there,” you want them to hire well. Another guy might help where you couldn’t. And, if it is a very hard work but the guy helps, good is done. Why do we all want easy works? God needs ministers at the difficult places too. And, haven’t we learned that sometimes the hardest things are most rewarding?
2. And this simple reminder: Sound is in the ears of the beholder. We post churches looking for ministers. We have chosen to not post churches that use instrumental music or are egalitarian in their worship leadership. Outside of that YOU kick the tires on your own before accepting a work.
