IL: The church in Mt. Vernon is looking for a new preacher. They are a church of about 140 with 4 elders and 7 deacons. Joshua Hartwigsen is leaving the work there after 9 years. The church is active and involved in Lads to Leaders. TN: The Center Chapel church where Scoop Blog purist, Andy “Homerun” Connelly is the preacher is looking, immediately, for a new youth minister. They would prefer a married man but that is not a dealbreaker. This is probably a part time job (esp if the man is married) but a single man might be fine on the salary provided. AL: The Sherrod Avenue church has hired Justin Pannell from Owens Cross Roads in the Huntsville area. This means Owens Cross Roads will be open. They are a church of about 350 and Gary Bradley, SR will be doing their interim. Learn more at: http://www.ocrcoc.org/

 

FL: The Pleasant Grove Road congregation (Inverness) is looking for a new minister. The congregation has a newly appointed eldership and deacons with a church secretary. Attendance is around 110. They have a lot of kids. FL: The Lake Butler Church is seeking a full-time pulpit minister. They are a congregation of 120 members located in North Central, Florida. The community is within 45 minutes of both Jacksonville and Gainesville, Florida. Lake Butler is also within 1-2 hours from both the East and West Coast beaches, and about 2 hours from Orlando, Florida.  They have three elders and three deacons and want a minister that is “energetic, motivated to reach the lost in our community and interact with our membership to build them up in the gospel.” They have a growing youth group that is involved in Lads to Leaders and Florida Bible Camp. The leadership has incorporated a youth intern over the past three years to work with the young people. The leadership is looking for a minister that has a minimum of five years’ experience, but will entertain applicants with less. The church has two houses if the minister is interested in living in one of them. AR: The church in Stamps is looking for a preacher as the one they have had for the last 12 years has retired. They are a church of 30-40 members. They do have a “preacher’s house” and pay utilities.
