Scooping again

Every now and then I feel the need to explain a few things about Scoops and The Scoop Blog. This morning I got a call from a guy who thanked us so much for “all we do for preachers.”  That’s very kind and appreciated but we must be careful lest that feed any ego. I am human and readily own that I must push down my ego - on both sides - both a too low of a sense of impact as well as an overinflated sense of accomplishment. I want you all to know, we are not trying to “be someone” through The Jenkins Institute. We love the Kingdom and God’s men who minister and simply want to encourage them. Nor is this about money - there is not an event we have put on nor a book we have published that we have NOT LOST money on. We don’t have to make a name for ourselves - we already have one - Christian. That is all. We are Christians by the grace of God, the blood of Jesus and the acceptance of the Gospel. We are just two brothers who feel blessed to preach the Gospel. The Scoop Blog is yours. We learn of stuff and share it with others and delight in doing so. We have no agenda but to encourage faith and faithfulness to God and His Word.  Enough of that - we’ve got scoops to share.
