Well, this came quick. More Scoops. I actually have a quick question this week before you go to scoops. It deals with Scoops and how to best deliver them. So, let me hear back from you.

GA: This week’s first self-scoop to Jon Podein. Jon will be returning to Calhoun to work with the church there. 

AL: The 10th Street Church in Opelika has an opening for a full-time youth minister.   The ideal candidate will be married/engaged and have a BA in Bible/Youth and Family Ministry.  Any interested candidates should email a resume, references, availability, and salary expectations to George Dunn george.tenthstreet@gmail.com.


TN: The Millview congregation has hired Josh Cook as their new minister. 


OH: Luke Ashby with the self-scoop. Luke has accepted the position at Flanders Road congregation in Toledo.

TN: The Oakland Church at 3365 Guthrie Hwy in Clarksville is in search of a minister. This will be pretty much a part-time job with hopes of it moving to full-time. TN: Andy Pogue has accepted the minister position with the Sandy Hook Church in Mount Pleasant near Columbia.

GA: The Rose Hill Church in Columbus is looking for a Youth Minister. The goal of the Youth Minister is to assist the parents of young people in coming to Christ, maturing them in their walk of faith, and developing a desire to reach out to the community and the world with Good News and good works. They are seeking someone with the ability to create a vision for their youth program and work together with the Elders, Minister, and Deacons to pursue a vision for the church. Here are some of the qualities, values, and characteristics they are looking for: Solid Bible Knowledge. Mature, motivated, and energetic person capable of safely and logistically organizing trips, events, and activities. Maturity includes a work ethic with the ability to work unsupervised, and be accountable, punctual, and dependable. A good communicator, both personally, written, social media, and in a public/class setting. Able to positively interact and connect with young people of all ages, their parents, and the membership at large. The candidate would be a member of the body at Rose Hill and a Minister as well, assisting all members, no matter their age. The congregation is committed to involvement with Lads2Leaders. The candidate should have the commitment, desire, and ability to lead that program. They would like for the candidate to have a college/university degree in Bible, Ministry or related field or four years’ experience as a Youth Minister, or a combination of education and experience. The ability and desire to preach several times a year, as there will be opportunities to do so. Technical ability to work with livestreaming and recording equipment, social media posting and administration, and PowerPoint. He will also work alongside deacons (including a Deacon over Youth) serving a congregation of 165 (average Sunday Pre-Covid attendance). They will review the resumes in the order received. TN: The North Jackson congregation is seeking a full-time congregational minister. The congregational minister will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the church office. Other duties include oversight of the church bulletin, visiting members, conducting funerals, teaching Bible classes, directing the visitation program, and other duties assigned by the elders. KY/AL: Jonathan "Frodo" Germany is leaving Holly Hills in Frankfurt to become the youth minister at 9th Avenue in Haleyville. 

MS/TN: Nathan Foster is leaving his youth ministry role at West Main in Tupelo to become the pulpit/congregational minister at the Troy Church in Tennessee. This will create an opening at West Main.

TN: The Laurel church partners with a local non-profit to run an after-school and summer care program for disadvantaged and at-risk kids living in the Marble City community behind their building in Knoxville. They are looking to hire someone to work with the Middle and High School aged "JustLeaders." There is a full-time salary with a benefits package. This ministry has been running for 7 years and has around 50 - 60 participants, with about 20 being of middle and high school age. They need someone with the heart of a youth minister, a desire for growth. and the mind of a teacher.
