Ready for some more Scoopin?

scoop4.jpg

Welcome to Scoops. Here’s how this works. We hear about (from you) congregations or para-church organizations that are looking for helpers. We take what we hear or what is sent and try to write it in a more uniformed order and then post it. We often do some “cleaning” of words like “faithful, or “sound,” not because we don’t know what those words mean biblically but because their common use has such a divergence of meaning. So, “we are looking for a sound, faithful, preacher who is not afraid to speak truth,” would end up meaning two vastly different things. IF you see something in quotation marks it either means I thought was was written was so unusual, or strange, or well-worded, or out-there, that I decided the reader needed to know what they were getting into. We post churches that are non-instrumental (means they have NO services where they use instrumental music), who are complementarian (means they do not use women in leadership roles in worship), and who have not run away from the name “church of Christ” (we know there are more names for the church than that, but if a church has determined is distance themselves from being a part of “churches of Christ” most of our readers “looking” would not be interested in those jobs. Finally note: This is “the want ads.” We are not recommending these jobs, if you buy a car, you kick the tires first, same with these jobs.  Some folks don’t like some of the above. We never seek to cause offense or division among brethren, but I know of no other way to say this:  If you don’t like The Scoop Blog, you don’t have to read it. And, if you could do better, please do, there’s room for more than one place to post.

TJI began a mentoring program for ministers who need help and want additional support. Guys who need a mature “go to” minister to help them navigate this thing called Ministry. It is a 3-year program. You will end up with three mentors. If you’d like to know more or be mentored contact us HERE with your name, location, and cell number. Space is very limited, so get to it!
