TN: North Bradley Church of Christ in Cleveland is a 2+ year old church plant seeking a bi-vocational Evangelist. I (Dale) have been there several times and love these people. They are looking for a man who would be expected to preach roughly 3 Sundays per month and teach as needed. They are trying to create an atmosphere where the members are ministers and the preacher has no other responsibilities except to preach and teach and do what we are all to do as Christians. TN: Even the Scoop blog guy has his favorites. Lomax is one of mine. They are looking for a pulpit minister. Lomax is a church of about 200 members with 4 elders and 6 deacons. The pulpit minister will work closely with the eldership and other ministers to provide leadership for and be actively involved in Lomax church ministry activities and events. The expectation will be to preach scripturally solid sermons and beach biblically sound Bible classes that will strengthen the body of believers at Lomax in their faith and service to God. VA: The Abingdon Church of Christ is seeking a full-time minister for the congregation of 150 members and four elders. They “are a conservative church that professes solid Biblical principles.” Pre-covid they were 300+ and they averaged 225 in 2021. They have 6 Elders and 15 Deacons. They would prefer a married man with a strong Bible background with training in a preacher training school or college degree in Bible. AL: The Cedar Grove church in Andalusia, with an average attendance of 120, is looking for a minister. It is preferred that he have a Bible degree and some experience. He will work with three elders and six deacons. The Cedar Grove congregation is over 100 years old and still very active. The city of 9,000 has a reputation of having excellent schools. MS: The Church of Christ in Picayune is looking for an Involvement/Family minister to be part of the church family and to share in proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. Prior to Hurricane Katrina (2005) they were averaging over 110 on a Sunday morning. Unfortunately, the hurricane and the COVID pandemic have taken their toll on the congregation. They believe they have a great opportunity to stress God’s love to their community. They would consider an unmarried candidate but would prefer the candidate to be married with children, a graduate of a Brotherhood university, or a recognized preaching school. He would be expected to have three to eight years of experience with a congregation which would have included regular preaching assignments.
