Description: The Woodbridge church is looking for a full-time minister who is Biblically sound and zealous for the cause of Christ. They desire someone skilled in teaching Bible classes and preaching sound sermons. Regular visitation and interaction with the congregation is also expected. Someone with leadership and organizational experience would be helpful to motivate growth spiritually and numerically. They are very interested in reaching the lost and encouraging the saints, and desire the minister to put effort into these areas. They desire a minister who is willing to evangelize (for example: assist with website; conduct home Bible studies; and other ways to contact people) and reach out to the people in our area with the Gospel of Christ. The Woodbridge congregation has been in existence for over 50 years, and the church here is optimistic about future growth. Presently, post COVID, the church has around 60 to 70 members. They have a membership that is a hard-working group for the Lord. They have an active Ladies’ Fellowship Group, and have historically conducted a Gospel Meeting annually, along with other opportunities for serving the Lord.
Job Expectations: DUTIES: (NOT A COMPREHENSIVE LIST) • Preach Sunday morning & evening (2 Tim 4: 2-5, 1 Tim 4: 6-7 ... 10-11) • Teach at least one Bible class per week (1 Tim 4:11, 2 Tim 2: 24-26, Titus 2:1, 2 Tim 2:2) • Work with the church leadership to develop and implement strategies to maximize outreach and spiritual growth of the church (Hag 2:9, Luke 19:10, Luke 14:23, Luke 8:11) • Maintain regular office hours at the building, specific times and days negotiable. PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS & DUTIES • At least three years of fulltime preaching experience. New graduates will be considered given background and other applications. • Ministry degree with Bible major preferred; others who have demonstrated successful ministry experience will be considered. • Proven evangelism and ministry track record. Enthusiastic desire for, and energetic approach to, personal evangelism. • Strong faith and Bible knowledge with a commitment to the call of serving the Lord as pulpit minister and evangelist. • Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written as well as a demonstrated ability to lead. • Conduct Bible studies, organize activities, communicate ideas, and use time effectively. • Willingness and ability to teach the Scriptures in Bible classes. • Ability to work under the oversight of the eldership.
