Description: Monticello is a 150-year-old congregation. They have 100-120 members, three elders, eight deacons, and a college minister, with a good mix of both younger and older couples. They are in a new building. They are looking for someone who is growth-minded with an excellent work ethic, spiritually grounded, and interested in building relationships within the congregation and community.
Duties and expectations: Duties will include pulpit sermons, teaching and planning adult classes, visiting, community evangelic outreach, and working with other congregations in the area. A minister with a degree in Bible from a Biblically sound institution is preferred but not required. Candidates who are married with children are preferred. If desired, a part-time secretary position for the minister's wife will be available. The newly constructed church building is located about two miles north of Monticello on Highway 425. Monticello's population is about 10,000 with the University of Monticello where they have a campus ministry. Compensation includes a three bedroom home on three acres of land right next to the church building and would be a great place to raise a family..
