Job Description: ● Acts as a spiritual mentor for students ● Teaches Sunday morning and Wednesday night Bible classes/organizes teen Life Group(s) ● Counsels teenagers at parent request or refers to outside agency if needed ● Attends the extracurricular events of students ● Organizes youth events each month ● Hires and leads the Summer Intern Team (one female, one male) ● Plans youth group trips, including booking accommodations and transportation ● Proposes and manages the youth group budget wisely ● Creates social media content for youth group accounts ● Organizes/executes/attends summer camp and/or Junior & Senior Impact and Fall Youth Retreat ● Designs and orders youth group apparel ● Clearly and consistently communicates with parents ● Actively seeks and, when necessary, oversees service opportunities for students ● Completes training/continuing education/ministry conferences 2 times annually ● Collaborates and coordinates, as needed, with youth deacons to plan and execute events and teen life groups/classes ● Works as a collaborative team member with the elders, deacons, and other members of the church staff ● Plans praise and worship events for youth group and regularly incorporates praise and worship time into Sunday/Wednesday class plans
Description: The Westwood Church of Christ is looking for an exceptional, mission-minded youth ministry candidate. Westwood is a congregation located in McMinnville, TN with approximately 450 members and a weekly average attendance of 369 for the year. Westwood’s youth program has always been well-supported by the congregation and is currently comprised of approximately 40-50 students, with 25-30 students regularly attending Sunday morning class.
