About: The Angleton Church of Christ, located on the coast of southeast, Texas, is looking for a full-time pulpit minister to help lead the congregation. Three elders and four deacons lead the loving, talented congregation of approximately 100 members. The stated mission is to reach out to the community to show love for God while spreading the good news of Christ through His Word and their example. The pulpit minister needs to have a degree from an accredited preaching school or Christian school associated with the Church of Christ. They are seeking a candidate who is strong in the word of God with a stable marriage and a wife who strongly supports the ministry.
Job Description:
The office hours are 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Monday – Friday, with a designated day off within the week determined by elders. It is important to inform the secretaries of your schedule each day if you are not in the office.
The pulpit minister is expected to work together with your elders, deacons, members, and secretaries as a team member for the unity and growth of the church.
There is a staff meeting and prayer time which we want you to attend each Wednesday morning.
The elders request the pulpit minister attend all elders’ meetings, currently held on the second and fourth Monday evenings each month.
The pulpit minister is to serve the Angleton church in many responsibilities to be agreed upon by the elders and him.
The elders will have a minimum of one review each year of the associate minister’s work.
