Description: Athens Church of Christ is a very stable congregation from all standpoints, (i.e. Elders, Deacons, Biblically based, financially sound, friendly, etc.). They are located in a beautiful area of East Tennessee between Knoxville and Chattanooga. Both cities are within an hour's drive. Athens is a beautiful little city with (they believe) better than average schools and cost of living. It is known as "The Friendly City." If the applicant appears to be a potential fit, a job description and informal personal assessment will be sent to the applicant. After review of the job description and review of the assessment by the Elders and Deacons, a Zoom interview may be scheduled.

More Info: This is a pulpit minister's position. In the job description, there are four primary areas of accountability: 1. Pulpit 2. Classroom, (i.e. Sunday School, Wednesday night, VBS, devotionals, etc.). 3. Congregational Involvement 4. Community Outreach. The desired expectations for each of these areas are detailed in the Job Description.
