IT COULD HAPPEN THIS WEEK

You could receive a call from a grieving parent telling you that their precious little one has passed away in his sleep and that they would like for you to help with the funeral. You could receive a late night call from a parent asking you to meet them at the building because their teenage daughter wants to be baptized into Christ.

You could receive a call from an elderly Church member telling you they have a grandson who has passed away. You could receive a call from a friend requesting that you visit their dying father, and they need you to come pray with him.

You could hear from a family that doesn’t have enough money to buy Christmas presents for their three children, wondering if there is anything the Church can do to help. You could learn about a couple that is struggling in their marriage, and they aren’t sure they are going to stay together.

You could learn during the holidays that the elders have made the decision it’s time to make a change. You could learn that someone close to you has contacted cancer. You could learn that someone who you thought was a friend has turned on you and that they have decided to leave the congregation.

You could spend time reaching out to someone who is alone or lonely during the Holiday season. You could spend an extra amount of time in prayer each day praying about whatever life throws at you. You could spend time talking with a trusted friend and confidant who can assist you with the burdens you are called upon to bear. 

You could decide that regardless of what happens this week you will lean upon the Lord anyway, you will trust Him completely anyway, and you will glorify Him anyway. IT COULD HAPPEN THIS WEEK!
