Don't Forget

Ministry is taxing in many ways not the least of which is emotionally. Words launched, positions entrenched, feelings solidified; each cut us in multiple manners. Sometimes in our efforts to shine the love of God’s light into others, sometimes in our attempts to bring dark into light, sometimes in our desire to love what seems unloveable, we hit walls that can bring us low.

We need to remember that we are loved. Just because you proffer that God loves everyone doesn’t mean you realize He loves you. Just because you try to love when it is difficult to love doesn’t mean you feel loved back.

Sometimes we need a simple emotional reboot. Nothing drains us like feeling uncared for and nothing fills us like love. So today, if it’s been a tough weekend, a tough year, or you find yourself in a tough ministry remember,

You are loved.

Please read each of the following carefully and personally and remember;

You are loved.

And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love - Romans 5:5, NLT.

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God - 1 John 3 KJV

But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us - Romans 5:8

God so loved…that whosoever believes in Him… - John 3:16

So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him - 1 John 4:16

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord - Romans 8

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are - 1 John 3:1

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved - Ephesians 2:4-5

I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you - Jeremiah 31:3

Know today, you are indeed loved.
