Weary?
Weary.
Meetings, difficult people, packed schedule, over-crowded to do list, sermons to prepare, classes to ready yourself for, articles to write, people to visit, outreach to conduct, calls to return, emails to answer, books to read, community events to attend, kids, hospitals to visit, training to conduct, programs to plan, counseling to preform, messes to clean up, mentoring to conduct, mission trips to plan, records to maintain, policies to consider, youth stuff to attend, education to continue, disciplines to focus on, seminars to facilitate, systems to create, series to put together, conflict to confront, relationships to attend to, security protocols to develop, finances to keep controlled, benevolence to tend, volunteers to appease, responses to plan, social media to keep under control, encouragement to supply, announcements to compose. Contending with those who would be your enemies. Endless genealogies and foolish questions that taunt.
Weary?
I understand. All true ministers would.
Weary!
Jeremiah’s list would have been full too.
Weary.
The one thing he said he personally was weary of was not speaking the Word of God. And when he returned and did..he sang:
“But the Lord is with me as a dread warrior;
therefore my persecutors will stumble;
they will not overcome me.
They will be greatly shamed,
for they will not succeed.
Their eternal dishonor
will never be forgotten”
Jeremiah's confidence was renewed in God after deciding to continue speaking His Word.
Weary?
Speak God’s Word!
