Seminar Scoops

I'm enjoying an excellent workshop at Graymere in Columbia today put together by Andrew Phillips. It's rich. But the scoops are piling up like snow in Colorado so I thought I'd go ahead and post: Sycamore in Cookeville, TN announced yesterday that they have hired Steve Reeder. Steve has been with them a while while they looked and now he is the guy they have hired. So that does not leave an opening elsewhere.

The Vancouver Church of Christ, in Vancouver, WA, not Canada are looking for a pulpit guy.  They are about 350-400.   For more info go HERE.

Central in Sparta notified me that they have filled their position.  Brian McKutchen from Aiken, SC (that we posted recently) will be their new preacher.   

The Foote Street congregation in Corinth, Mississippi is looking for a new preacher.  I've known of that good place for nearly 30 years as they provided some of the support and helped build the Kossuth building where I preached while in college.  Foote Street is the downtown church there.  They run around 300 on Sunday mornings and their website appears to be down. Chris Jones will be moving to work with the church in Eva, Alabama - a great little town on a hill.  He will be leaving Mimosa near Fayetteville, TN. They are not sure of the process they are taking but have an interim right now.  You might contact Chris for more information - cjones@arabcityschools.org.  I held a meeting at Mimosa a couple of years ago. It is in a gorgeous little valley and they have a beautiful historic building. They were very gracious to me.
