A whole lot'ta scoopin' goin' on (the grammar police will love that title)
It's been a few weeks since our last post. We've been holding off. I (Dale) leave for El Salvador for a campaign/mission trip this week and wanted to get the scoops out before I left. So...enjoy. And as always let me know what I missed. AL: Dustin Seamore will be moving to preach for the Millport congregation in north Alabama. Dustin graduated from Freed-Hardeman this past week.
MS: My understanding is that his dad, Garvis, has resigned at FHU and will be working with the Madison church in Jackson, MS.
SC: Robert Hatfield who has been working with the East Hill church in Pulaski, TN will be moving to preach at the North Charleston, SC church.
TN: Jamie Byrom has accepted the pulpit work at the Bethlehem congregation in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The Flat Creek congregation where he previously preached is looking for a part-time minister. Flat Creek is located in Shelbyville, Tennessee. They average about fifty in attendance on Sunday mornings, and have three elders and three deacons. GA: Caleb Colley will begin preaching for the Macland Road congreagtion in Marietta, Georgia.
TX: The White Rock Church of Christ is searching for a new pulpit minister. White Rock averages between 200-240 in attendance on Sunday mornings. KY/AL: Ben Giselbach has accepted a position with Lads-to-Leaders and will be moving to Montgomery. Ben will be available to fill-in around the Montgomery area. They have about 100 members, and a "surprisingly large youth group" with a very active Lads-to-Leaders program.
