As we approach Your mighty throne, we bow before You in awe and reverence. We know that without our Mediator, we are unworthy to stand before You.
Dear God, we don’t fully comprehend why You have chosen to allow imperfect men to preach Your perfect Word. However, for this we are eternally thankful. Father, may this realization be a constant reminder that our calling is to proclaim Your Word, not ours. May we never forget that we are simply the vessel that carries the priceless treasure and that we are the messenger who delivers the life-changing Good News.
We pray for Your men around the world, who will stand on Sunday to preach Your Word. May all of us remember that this is a serious charge. Help us not to take this task lightly. Help us to be gripped by the importance of the work we are attempting to do.
Help us to have a heart for those who hear us. Help us to speak Your Truth out of a heart of love. We pray that those who hear will have open Bibles, open minds, and open hearts. We pray that someone will choose to obey Your Word and that every person present will be changed by the proclamation of Truth.
We pray that You will be pleased and glorified by the work done by Your men around the world on this Lord’s Day.
